How-To for making Glamper Lights
Items needed are:
Wedding Lights 50 count- Wal-Mart
Mod Podge- Michaels
25- 9 0z. Plastic punch cups- Grocery store
25- 5"x10" pieces of Fabric- Fields Fabric
paper, pins, scissors, exacto knife, sponge brush
First roll cup along paper and trace edges to get the shape of your fabric. You will end up with a slight arched shape. Cut out shape and place around cup to check, trim to fit as needed. Use the paper strip as your pattern for all of the fabric.
Next pin pattern to fabric piece and cut out, check this fabric against cup, and if it fits, continue to cut out as many fabric pieces as you will need.
Next take your sponge brush and put a coat of Mod Podge on the cup.
Roll the fabric on
the cup smoothing as you go. Cut end so you only have a slight overlap then put
a line of Mod Podge on the fabric where it overlaps and press down. Let dry overnight.
Finally turn cup upside down and cut an X in the bottom with an exacto knife. This will allow you to push the light through the X so the light is inside of the cup. Push all 25 of your cups on the light strand skipping every other one (unless you decide to make 50 shades). Plug in and you are done!
